Ash Resources CSR Projects

Ash Resources believes that businesses in South Africa have a shared responsibility with government and society in general, to help develop strong and sustainable communities. In line with this, we endeavour to support sustainable self-help schemes through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget and local business initiatives through our Enterprise Development Programme.

Enterprise Development Projects

Through an interview and evaluation process, existing entrepreneurs are selected to join our development programme and benefit from a range of services to enhance management, marketing and financial control skills. Our current programme includes:

Mveledzo Besem and Catering Services, Alexandra, Gauteng

This six-member group of entrepreneurs has established four main areas of business: recycling, which generates income as a buy-back centre and cleans up the local area; educating schools and communities on recycling; a car wash, and a canteen providing meals for orphaned children.

Legae Lerona Sewing Cooperative

Legae consists of three dedicated and hard-working women producing good quality uniforms and traditional clothing for individuals, government and business clients.

Hope Factory

The Hope Factory creates opportunities for people from disadvantaged communities to be trained and gain experience in business, technical and life skills.
